Mr. Albert Eskra, of Duryea, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Pittston Township, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Lesko Eskra. He was a graduate of Duryea High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Duryea.

He was a lifetime member and former assistant chief of Germania Hose Company, Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Peter and Robert.

Surviving are his wife the former Victoria Mergel.

Granddaughters, Nichole Marie and Brittnay Ann

Brother, Joseph Eskra and his wife, Marlene of Ephrata, PA
Nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 10:00 am at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Rev. Carmen Bolock officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Germania Hose Company, 430 Foote Ave., Duryea, PA 18642.
